Hi,I used to be overweight (weighed about 160 lbs) when I was 14 my height is 5,10. I started dieting when I was 14 and a half years old because everybody at school bullied me, called me names, and obviously wanted a girlfriend . Now after dieting and fortunately reaching my goal I weigh 140 lbs with the same height. I started taking care and maintainig my weight by not eating high calorie foods,bread and fast foods. Currently I eat a lot of vegetables and fruit but my parents still think I'm dieting and tell me to stop or theyll send me to the psychologist but I'm happy the way I eat. Also my both parents are overweight and I try telling them that what they eat is unhealthy but they ignore me and since I eat a lot of fruit they think I ONLY EAT THAT ! , but I always prepare myself healthy meals according to the specific portion size which include many lean cuts of protein and vegetables. But my parents think I should eat more because they think I'm eating like a girl!.Also I work out daily and keep myself active.I eat about 2000 calories a day. So please I need to know how to convince my parents I'm not dieting any more but eating healthy.

You don't have to buy special food, you just have to measure the points of regular food buy calculating the amount of fat, carbs, protein, and fiber. When you sign up, get the calculator that you enter this information in. It will calculate it for you instead of you having to estimate based on generalization. The calculator was a HUGE help. I personally love the new Points Plus better than the old system because this one is more based on health value than caloric intake.

if you want to do dance at your school (like a dance team, dance club etc.) then do modern but EVENTUALLY you will need to get to jazz. i would take ballet no matter what though. ballet gives you technique which you need to become a dancer. ballet also has all the fundamentals, and basics you will need later on (ex, first position, second position, third position etc.) if you can take 2 classes a week i would take Jazz (just to start off, if you can change in the middle of the session, change to modern, if you cant stick with jazz) and ballet. if you can take three i would take two ballets and one jazz (same thing from above [if possible move to modern]). i hope this helps you and good luck! :)

Two weeks ago I joined Weight Watchers. The program promises an average of 2 pounds per week loss. This is very healthy. I started at 192 pounds. The first week was fine, but this week I dropped 10 pounds and now weigh 180. Thinking something was wrong with the scale, I tried other scales and they all gave me widely different weights, so I can't eve say if my scale was off. Is it possible to lose 10 in a week? Is this normal for Weight Watchers in the beginning? Is there a way to tell if my scale is just broken? Also, with the diet, I began low-impact exercising at least 20 minutes everyday. Hi :) One tip that is great is drinking 8 glasses of water a day! If you aren't already doing this you will lose weight in a week! Promise! Normally your body has to fight to keep every bit of water it can. But if you drink a lot of water then it realizes that you are getting enough water and you aren't going to die of thirst, so it releases more water and you become thinner. Plus drinking a lot of water keeps you feeling full and keeps you from snacking. The wonders of water. Water also helps hydrate your skin and makes your hair healthier. Hope this helped! :D

What appetite suppressants actually work?

I've had a serious problem with my weight for the last year. After grad school I ballooned up 40 pounds, and in the last 8 months have managed to take off a whopping 9 of them. I've tried it all: Weight Watchers, South Beach Diet, calorie restriction, tons of exercise. Nothing is helping. I've settled into a workout routine that I like, but without going crazy on all the specifics I just can't stop eating. And I mean stomach rumbles kind of hungry, not just emotional eating or eating out of boredom. I have a limit of 1600 cals a day based on the exercise I do and half the time my meals barely take the edge off. I eat nutritiously, low fat, good carb, fruits, veggies, no soda. I drink my full 2 liters of water a day. I've tried chewing gum, fiber supplements, you name it. The only thing left that I haven't tried is an appetite suppressant, but I don't want to waste my money on something else that won't work. Can anyone recommend one that actually does what it says, without costing an arm and a leg?

My wife has had lower back pain for 3 days now. Causes weakness in legs, Any Help?

After an injury in 2007 she has had pain come and go every few months. The doctors would just gave pain medication each time she went. As of late, the past 3 days, she has been having pain in her lower back, hips, legs, down to her knees. It gets to the point where she can not stand or walk. Her back is now shifted in an oddly shaped "S" and she leans when she walks. On 6/27/11 she went to the hospital again and they told her she had a UTI and did not know what was causing the pain. They didn't even check her back, just gave her a shot and also Norco which didn't take away the pain just left her on "Cloud 9", so to speak. So i joined Weight watchers literally 3 weeks ago. I've been sticking to my allowence but i've kinda spoilt myself this week. I dont see a difference in my body weight and my clothes dont seem to be getting much baggier, but other people say they can tell.. so am i going to gain a lot of weight in the next few weeks or is this normal?

i have a purple 16 gb ipod nano 4th generation. today it was working just fine. i was playing solitaire on it before class started then i put it away into my pocket. i wasn't sitting on it or leaning on it in any way. when i took it out to listen to it on my way home, it just wouldnt turn on at all. i thought it might have been dead but when i clicked the buttons i didnt get the "connect to power" screen. resetting doesnt work. i plugged it into my ipod dock when i got home and it did nothing. i plugged it in to my computer and at first itunes doesnt recognize it, but after a while it shows up and says that my ipod is corrupt, and asks if id like to restore. when i click restore, a window pops up and says "extracting files" and when thats finished the window just closes and itunes freezes up. i have no idea whats wrong with it. but i cant afford to buy a new one. Why am I not losing weight on Weight Watchers?!?

I have been on weight watchers now going through the middle of my 3rd week. The first week I lost 3.6 lbs..2nd week I gained 2 ounces...this week I've weighed myself and nothing still the same???? More Pet Rat Questions and Help?

I got two pet rats from the local animal shelter the other day. I got Oreo the day before Snickers because I didn’t realize that it is best to get more than one. They are both about six weeks old and litter mates. Yesterday I noticed that they were wrestling. They kept rolling around on top of each other and making soft squeaking noises. I can’t tell if their fighting or playing. They chase each other around and tackle each other. Last night they kept wrestling for like an hour I would get them to stop sit down and they would do it again. Is it serious? I can’t tell. I take them out of the cage everyday and hold them and I haven’t seen any scabbing or bleeding. Is this normal? Can it lead to something more serious? Please help. I was 293 about a month ago. I weighed myself and am now 276! I decided to change my lifestyle for good and lose weight the hard way with good dieting (1200 cal diet) and exercise. I am on a program called INSANITY. I watch what i eat and record it at all times. Salads, turkey sandwiches with the weight watchers wheat bread. I don't drink Sodas or juice anymore only drink water (about 10 cups a day) and skim milk for protein shakes and rarely use it to eat (special K) I don't always consume that because of all the sugar in it. I'm 276 pounds. I swear I haven't been starving myself. I'm just sweating like crazy trying to keep up with these exercises. Will my weight rebound? Is this safe? I heard safe is 2 to 3 pounds but my weight has been shedding like crazy..almost 1 pound a day..

The school I went to high school with currently has a no trespass order against me. Why? Because according to them I made threats on the last day of school and was a danger. I thought it was very descriptive of the details and created a scenario I could see in my head and almost experience with my senses. You gave enough detail but did not overdue it to the extent of boredom. When people read fiction they want the experience of feeling like they are there. Just keep finding descriptions of detail that triggers the readers senses. Like right now I am thinking of chocolate! I can see it, smell it and taste it though I have not even bought it yet:) Just keep in mind it is easier to make the reader experience something they have actually experienced. When it comes to something less common, pay special attention to the key details to make it come alive. Your little excerpt here scores an A+ in my book!!

I've been having weird back pain?

For the past couple years I get a pain in my lower right back, near my kidneys. Major stomach problems... I need some help.?

So I've been experiencing stomach issues for about 2 years now. It used to come in waves but now it's just all the time. It all started with eating bad food and I'd get diarrhea a lot. But then it would stop for like a year and then it would come back. I'd have to watch what I ate because of the diarrhea I'd get. But recently, at this beginning of this year, I've noticed how bad it's gotten. I ALWAYS have to watch what I eat now. I'm even on a diet and I eat SmartOnes from Weight Watchers. I used to think I was lactose intolerant. But now I'm just thinking it's something wrong with my stomach or intestines. I always have to watch what I eat because I'll have to run to the bathroom or run home. Is it IBS? Is it an ulcer? What the hell is wrong with me? Military Relationships! and Branch Question?

So I have been with my current boyfriend for 4 years now. We have had a long distance relationship which has worked out well. He has been speaking to me lately about joining the military. I understand about calories and that if you consume more than your body needs you gain weight. I also know that foods high in fat and carbohydrates (sugars) are energy dense and can lead to weight gain. But I was wondering which foods are more fattening those high in fat, or those high in sugar. For example a weight watchers choc brownie dessert contains 3.3g fat and 21.9 carbs in the form of sugars, whereas a pack of fries to go has 12.8g fat and 0.5g carbs in the form of sugars. Which would be worse for making you gain weight?

well there is this guy ive known since 3rd grade....we never really started talking until last winter but we are VERY close now... he is my bestfriend... well i kind of developed a crush on him at the beggining when we first started talking, i told him... he didnt feel the same way and i got over it... well recently, wel were sitting on his porch and talking we thought that this was going to be the last day that we were going to see each other because he was supposed to be moving over the summer and i was going to be in another city (we live in the same naborhood) well he told me that he actually did like me when we first started talking but then stopped... so we actually did like each other at the same time... only when he stopped i didnt. well we were hugging alot that night, and when it was time to go... he leaned in to kiss me but as soon as our lips were about to touch the porch light came on and his dad came out telling him it was time for dinner... i just left. the next day we figured out that we could hang out for two more days... while we were sitting there he said "you know i think its actually gonna happen one day" i ask what and he goes "us going out" at this point my feeling are returning for him but he goes "i just dont want a summer girlfriend" well the day went on and he never tried to kiss me... when i went home and got on facebook he chatted me telling me that he isnt moving, and that he wish he would have kissed me and was reggreting not, in attempt of making a long story shorter... he kissed me the next day then i left for the other city cuz my parents have a summer buissnes thing there, then i found out ever monday and tuesday i would be coming home well last monday and tuesday we did kiss again and alot but only near the end when i was about to leave and it was kind of like a peck sort of thing, this monday (yesterday) i came back (now keep in mind that i was expecting him to ask me out when summer was over and i also forgot to mention that he said that he liked kissing me and that it felt right and that when ever he is around me he feels like he has to treat me like im his girlfriend and he also said that he doesnt really like me either he said he is confused) well anyway when i got there yesterday he shows me a picture of this girl with her boobs barally fitting in her shirt and really short shorts and he goes this girl likes me and smiles :)... he said she plays guitar and loves rock and is in a band :D <---- this is his face now (me and him are both obsessed with rock music and ive been trying to learn guitar for a while now) so i go, what your gonna ask her out? he goes i dont want a summer girlfriend... so i ask when school starts? he answers most likely... you have no idea how much it hurt when he said that i felt like he just kicked me in the stomach i wanted to cry... but i just laughed and smiled and said awww :3 good for you :] <--- me trying to fake smile. well ever since that momoent i have been feeling HORIBLE :'( ive just not been the same... even he noticed and was bugging me to tell him what was wrong.. i didnt say anything, every time i try to tell him when he hurts me it hurts him really bad because he hurt me and when i see him sad or hurt it makes me feel REALLY bad even if its net my fault, i didnt want that at the moment well this is really weird because ive never felt this bad for this long usually no matter what happens to me or no matter how bad i feel i usually get over it in at least a couple hours im VERY optimistic but i feel like crap i dont want to do anything i dont want to eat and i couldnt even sleep last night i almost cut my self ive NEVER done that or EVER thought about it i dont have anyone to talk to because the person i talk to about things like this is the person whe is causing the problem... i just dont know

i just got a diamond dove from petsmart. i know, its not wise to buy from there, but i am a bird watcher, and the bird has VERY healthy and normal behaivior. he will fly out of the cage if the door is open, but is natrually terrified of me. does anyone have some advice of helping this bird not be afriad of my hand, my presence, voice and movement. my other conserns are that when i change the birds food and water in the cage, it is scared of my hand when i put it in the cage to take care of the ffod. i feel i may be making things worse. help please?

I really like this guy Drew who's friends with my best friend Matt (name's changed for security reasons). I was at Matt's house with him and two other guys. Matt, drew, and I were all watching Sweeney Todd but eventually got bored of the movie and started wrestling. While we were wrestling the two other guys come in and wrestle with Matt and i look at the couch and find Drew lying there on his back. I run up to him and jump on him and he starts tickling me like he has been all day. He stops and we're just sitting there laughing and then we both stop and are looking into each others eyes. He, very slowly, starts leaning in and I'm thinking "Oh my god is he about to kiss me?" and he does. Kisses me right on the mouth. It wasn't just any kiss it was heated and had tongue and sexy. When we pulled apart I missed the feeling of his lips on mine and wanted to kiss him for hours. The rest of the night me and him always sat next to each other and he let me sit on his lap and while sitting I could tell he was not small in his nether regions and he was kind of excited (; When we were outside I expressed how I am afraid of the dark and he says he'll protect me. The rest of the night i couldn't stop thinking about the kiss or him. When I went to sleep last night my dreams were filled with him and lots of kisses. Okay. We're best friends and really close. It's hard to read him and we fight a lot over the stupidest things and then he calls me a *****... anyways, he always "likes" all my closest friends and one of my very best friends (she can read people, she took a class in it) says he does that to make me jealous. He's really nice when he isn't mad and asked me out a long time ago when we weren't really friends at all. I said no, but that sort of started our friendship. I always tell him I love him, but he never responds the same. He jokes around a lot with me and says he thinks I'm really pretty. During the school year, he would come over my house every day (and I do mean every day). We would sometimes walk together (I live close to my school) or I would take the bus and he would walk alone.We can tell each other anything because we are so comfortable with each other. Sometimes, he even sits on my lap. I always tell him who I like and he tries to make them like me. It's rather funny. One time, I spit water on to him and he threw me to the ground (I was surprised) and like leaned over me sort of. It was weird. Well, I don't know what else to say besides that after typing all of this it sounds like he only likes me as a friend. What do you think? Oh and sorry this is so disorganized. How many calories should I eat?

I was on weight watchers and lost a 100 pounds but to maintain I think it said 2400. I do alot of walking at work and do a exercise video. I eat about 2000 to 2400 in a day. On weekends I treat myself to whatever I want and don't count and have maintained for a year after I lost. Is this a healthy number to eat? Thanks
